What happens when I want to make an Appointment?
We would have a brief discussion so I could understand what you need. Also for me to explain how I can help you.
You can contact me by telephone, email, or my form on my website. If you are happy, we can go ahead and arrange the first session. I make every effort to arrange the first session as soon as I can.
Most people are anxious before the first session but this is normal.
This article explains more what happens during your first session
How much do you charge?
My charge varies depending on whether you are requesting a face-to-face or online session. I charge
Face to Face for Individuals – £50
Online for Individuals – £45
Face to face for Couples – £70
Online for Couples – £60
Concessions are available for the unemployed and those without a disposable income but this is completely at my discretion.
Cash is the preferred payment. I also accept cheques. Payments can be made in advance through BACS and Paypal.
How long do you see people for?
I offer both short-term brief therapy and longer-term therapy.
I will not encourage you to stay in therapy longer than you need. I will be open and honest with you.
Your journey is a process, not an event. I will work with you at your pace, and won’t push you.
Do you work with Children & Teenagers?
I work with teenagers aged 16 plus.
However, I do work with parents who struggle with parenting their young children.
Where do you work?
I am currently working online using video call – Zoom
What about Confidentiality?
I take your confidentiality very seriously. You can read about it here and we can discuss how I protect your confidentiality during your first session.
How many sessions will I need?
This is a common question with no definitive answer. The number of sessions required varies enormously and depends on your individual needs. We can talk about this during your first session and will review it on an ongoing basis.
