About me:
I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Registered Counsellor. I am bound by its code of ethics and subject to its complaint’s procedure.

I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space for the work, which feels comfortable and welcoming.

Fees

I charge £45 for individual sessions (50 minute session), and £60 (60 minutes) for couples therapy, which is payable via BACS.

Further details about how you can pay for counselling session will be sent via email once a booking has been requested.

If you have any questions about the process of therapy and would like to discuss how counselling can help you, please get in touch.

To request an appointment, you can fill in the contact form, call or email, I respond to all enquiries within 24 hours

All therapy sessions  are held at a mutually agreed time and day either weekly or fortnightly.

Your fees for the first and all sessions must be paid 48 hours before your session is due. If this isn’t received your session time may be allocated to another individual. Unless otherwise agreed, they are to be paid by BACS Transfer to:

Account Name: Dawn Richards
Sort Code: 11-00-58
Account No: 00962872

Cancellations
If less than 48 hours’ notice of cancellation of a session is given by you, the full fee will be payable. We hope clients appreciate that it is rarely possible to fill these appointments at such short notice which is why we are obliged to charge for the Therapist’s time.

I will not be able to work with you if you are under the influence of alcohol or other mind-altering substances. If this were found to be the case, I would have to end the session, but you would be charged at the normal rate.

Availability

Confidentiality and records:

Confidentiality is an integral part of counselling and psychotherapy and is seen as essential to building the therapeutic relationship and ensuring the client’s sense of safety. The therapeutic process encourages the client to be as open and honest as possible and inevitably personal experiences and sensitive information is disclosed. It is vital therefore that the client can trust that everything discussed will remain completely confidential. All information will remain confidential unless both the client and therapist agree to discuss something with a third party. The only circumstance where confidentiality might be broken would be if there was a serious risk to the client’s life or if another person’s life was at risk; alternatively, in the rare instance where the therapist was liable to civil or criminal court proceedings if they did not disclose client information. If at all possible, this would be discussed at length with the client beforehand and everything would be done to safeguard client confidentiality despite.

I am a Therapist based in Sutton Coldfield, UK also available online.
